The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on July 08, 2026, notified regarding the authorised upload of Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) Data in the Annual Information Statement (AIS).
It has issued a notification authorising the Director General of Income-tax (Systems), Delhi to upload information received under the Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) framework, pursuant to agreements under Section 159 of the Act, into the Annual Information Statement (AIS) in Form No. 168. The information must be uploaded within 90 days from the end of the month in which it is received. The Director General of Income-tax (Systems) will also prescribe the procedures, formats, and standards for uploading and maintaining such information in the AIS.
